Straight answers about how TradeMigo works.

Posting a job

Does it cost anything to post a job?
No. Posting is free. You only pay a £10 deposit when you accept a quote, and it comes off your final bill.
Why do you need photos, a budget and timing?
They help trades quote accurately without a wasted visit. Complete jobs score higher and get quicker quotes.
How many trades will contact me?
Two at most. Each job goes to one or two vetted trades, never a crowd.
Why do you verify my phone?
It stops fake jobs, which means trades take every TradeMigo lead seriously. Your number stays private until you book.

Deposits and payments

When is the £10 deposit taken?
Only when you accept a quote and choose a visit time. Never when you post a job.
Can I get my deposit back?
Yes, in full, if you cancel 24 hours or more before the visit, or if the trade doesn't turn up. If you cancel later or aren't home, part of it pays the trade for the wasted trip.
How do I pay the rest?
Through TradeMigo when the job is done. The £10 deposit is already taken off, so a £200 job means paying £190.
Can I pay the trade in cash?
Please don't. Your protection only covers payments made through TradeMigo.

Trades

How do you vet trades?
We check photo ID and insurance, and certifications like Part P (electrical) and Gas Safe where the work needs them. Profiles only show what we've checked.
What do turn-up rate and reply time mean?
Turn-up rate is the share of booked visits the trade attended. Reply time is how quickly they usually answer a new job. Both are measured by us.
